Day One

Today is the first post on this blog. I will use this format to talk about my joys and trials as a wife and mother. This has been an unusually trying week. I am very busy at work and the boys life is booked solidly and my husbands schedule is double booked. I have been listening to my husband complain, the people at work complain, the students complain... I actually look forward to spending more time with my kids this week just to escape the negativity! For a mother of a challenged kiddo and his brother that says a lot. I love my family and they are beautiful but wow! It can be a handful on most days! Church Rummage sale is also this week, one of those blessing and curse things.. Just got to keep reminding myself to breathe!!!!! I know many can relate. Great news is that my eldest who has autism aspergers is excelling this year, he is now in the third grade and doing so well! He is working hard at school, in tae kwon do, and riding horses. He is becoming more help than trouble and I think he is finally catching on to some basic social skills. Big celebration on the horizon! My youngest now 6 is learning how to manage being in the GT classroom, keep up with his homework, manage his social schedule and be a great brother! All in all a great start to a new year! Hope the other mothers out there are finding the small things to celebrate! Keep up the good work and never give up...right!?!?!
